Parent Testimonials
- "My son had the best time at the Bike Training Camp! As a mom, I was so impressed with three things: how well-organized and safe everything was, how much the kids actually learned while still having fun, and the amazing team spirit among the kids. He came home more confident on his bike and already asking when the next camp will be! Big thanks and congratulations to the organizers and volunteers — you guys did an incredible job. I definitely recommend it to other parents!"

"We had a wonderful experience with this bike camp! My 7-year-old son had always been afraid to start biking, and it was really challenging for us as parents to teach him on our own. The instructors here were so patient, encouraging, and made the whole experience fun and stress-free. By the end of the camp, my son was almost riding on his own confidently and, most importantly, excited to keep practicing. We’re so grateful for this camp — it was exactly what we needed! Highly recommend it to any family in the same situation."Alejandro Chacon
"She was shy at the beginning, wanting to quit as she felt intimidated but once she started working/riding she was so happy and felt good. I asked even half way through since it was so hot and some kids get tired but not once did she mentioned quitting and wanted to keep riding."Anonymous

"1. Safety and structure – Everything was super organized, and the kids were always supervised. I felt totally at ease knowing my child was in good hands. 2. Skill-building with fun – The coaches/ volunteers found the perfect balance between teaching new biking skills and keeping it exciting. My son learned a lot and had a blast. 3. Positive environment – The energy was so encouraging. The kids supported each other, and you could feel the confidence growing in every ride."Anonymous
"My daughter has been learning to ride the bike over the last couple of weeks and it all started when I told her that I have registered her for this camp. With today’s camp she gained a lot of confidence and learnt to get on with the ride all by herself. She actually went to the greenway with other intermediate level kids and loved it. The entire program was very well organized with lots of volunteers and instructors helping her throughout the camp. She really loved the games that were organized at the end of the session. The water, juices and snacks were also provided for the kids which I am sure all kids loved after being hungry and thirsty from the biking."Anonymous
- "My daughter has come a long way from training wheels to none. She has learned how to balance herself and use her brakes to stop. This program has made it possible for her to learn in a patient environment and a less stressful one for me."

And now he's riding his bicycle without the training wheels and with his helmet; every afternoon he wants to go out for a bike ride.)

"My 7 year old came for the first time trying with no wheels. His partner Logan was very patient, non-stop practecing the whole time. Near the end my son finally achieved doing it on his own. He was sooo excited and proud of himself. He wanted this learning experience for so long, Pedal Forward made it happen. Thank you so much!"Anonymous
"This is the first time either one of the girls has been on a bicycle. And they absolutely loved it. Jonathon and all of his volunteers did such a great job of showing them independence and confidence. The event was so well organized."Tuan Bui

"This organization is run by the most generous group of people I have ever met. They provide all the tools and equipment for each child taking into consideration specific ages and heights! Each child gets a volunteer whom they are paired with and each volunteer is so kind and truly caring. I drove 30 minutes to join this camp and will return each time it will be offered! The skill of riding a bike is so necessary and they do a wonderful job serving the community!"Reshma Motiwala
"I just wanted to share how amazing our experience was at the free bike riding class in Alpharetta, GA, presented by Johnathan Thai. This was my daughter’s very first time learning to ride a bike, and she picked it up instantly thanks to the patient, encouraging, and hands-on instruction she received. Not only did she learn to ride on the spot, but she also had the confidence to take on a full 30-minute bike trail right after—something I never expected her to do on her first day! The best part was that she got to keep the donated bike and helmet, which made the experience even more meaningful. We are so grateful for this opportunity and for the kindness and support shown throughout the entire session. This program truly makes a difference for families. Highly recommend!"Ragan bridges

- "Volunteering with Pedal Forward has been an absolutely amazing experience! I’ve loved watching the kids progress so quickly on a bike, and it’s been so rewarding to see them become more confident in their skills. Pedal Forward is fantastic at welcoming everyone, no matter their age or skill level, making it a fun and inclusive experience for all. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to introduce kids to an activity that’s become such a big part of who I am today."
Anderson Fuhrer
"As somebody who as been to both camps I would say that Pedal Forward is a very helpful program teaching young kids from underprivileged backgrounds how to ride and have fun doing it. Personally, I would say that every volunteer they have builds a connection with that child that they are assigned to so that the child feels safe with them and comfortable enough to where they let them teach him how to ride. I always have such a fun time volunteering and overall it is a truly a pleasure to work with and get to know these kids."Sophia Duncan
"Volunteering with Pedal Forward has been such a meaningful and fun experience for me. I truly believe every kid deserves the chance to feel the joy and freedom that comes with riding a bike, and this organization makes that possible. Not only do they teach safe bike handling and riding in a super fun way, but they also sometimes give each child their own bike to keep. I love seeing the pure happiness in the kids and helping them learn to try new things and overcome their fear."Jay Throckmorton

"Volunteering at this event was an incredibly rewarding experience. Not only did I earn 5 hours of service, but I also had the chance to teach kids how to ride bikes a moment that felt meaningful and impactful. The event was exceptionally well organized, and you could tell a lot of thought went into every detail. In the end, both the volunteers and the children walked away with something valuable."Shiven Sharma

"Pedal Forward is an incredible organization. At the camp, I saw tons of kids smiling and laughing having a great time with the volunteers. The camp was incredibly organized and had a great schedule to ensure the kids learned to ride bike, as well as games to make sure they had fun. I had a great time with the child I was helping and I hope to see her again. She loved the games and the snacks and greatly improved during her time at the camp. Overall, Petal Forward is a great organization and I would recommend the camps to children wanting to get better at biking. Volunteering is also super fun and I would highly recommend."Reese Rountree
"The Pedal Forward volunteer experience made me realize the importance of the little things. I took it for granted having a bike and someone to teach me, but seeing these kids smile as they learned how to ride made me understand the significance of something we may overlook. Helping each kid with their individual struggles was very rewarding as all the kids were able to go on a group ride at the end of the session. It was incredibly fun helping the kids and is an activity I would 100% recommend to anyone."Owen Zurinskas
